Question: What is meant by “the Kingdom of Heaven is within us”? Are there any Bible Scriptures that speak about the Kingdom of Heaven being within us?
Jesus was replying to the Pharisees; who asked where the Kingdom of Heaven was. He told them that it was “within your midst”; i.e. in your presence!
This is mostly interpreted in many translations as “within you”; which precludes the knowledge, which is ignored by the Churches; that said; “I am sent only to the lost sheep of Israel” (Matt.15:24)!
At the last Supper, Jesus inaugurated the “New Covenant”; which was “for all who will”. That was the message taken forward by the Apostles and especially Paul in Acts; up to Acts 28:25–28; when because of the final rejection by the Jews of Jesus, their Messiah; they became rejected by Almighty God (“Lo-Ammi”); until they would accept Him without reservation (Zech.12:10)!
At Acts 28:28; the Salvation of God in Christ Jesus became Gentile focused; and will remain so until “the number of the Gentiles is complete” (Rom. 11: 25–27).
The special offer is still open to the Jews; but God has put a “vail” over their ability to understand the Cross of Jesus; which will not be removed until the Lord’s 2nd Advent.
